British International High School

About Us

International education focused on excellence, growth, and global readiness.

Who we are

About Us

The British International High School Lahore (BIHS) delivers a comprehensive and internationally recognised academic programme based on the English National Curriculum, enriched by both local and global perspectives. In our Secondary School, students follow IGCSE and A Level pathways. At the post-16 stage, students may also choose from the International Baccalaureate Programme or BTEC qualifications, depending on the campus.

These pathways ensure that learners are well prepared for higher education and future success in a global context. Established in 1994, BIHS has a long-standing reputation for providing high-quality education to the expatriate and local communities in Lahore. We are a well-regarded, not-for-profit, co-educational institution, serving students aged 11 to 18 across multiple campuses.

Learning at BIHS is holistic and student-centred, supported by a rich co-curricular programme that includes extracurricular activities, student leadership opportunities, service learning, and residential trips. Strong pastoral care lies at the heart of our school culture, ensuring students’ well-being, personal development, and academic progress are carefully nurtured.
Our teachers are reflective, highly motivated, and collaborative professionals, committed to delivering outstanding learning experiences. We value educators who are enthusiastic about contributing to our strategic pillars of learning, enrichment, and well-being, and who actively support our school’s continuous improvement.

BIHS offers the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) for students aged 11 to 16. The MYP is a concept-driven, inquiry-based framework that connects classroom learning to real-world contexts through a balanced curriculum across eight subject groups. The programme culminates in key projects, including the Personal Project, which develops independent learning skills and prepares students for future academic pathways, including the IB Diploma Programme.

The British International High School Lahore is currently a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and is working towards full authorisation in 2026–2027. Our journey towards offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) begins in 2026, reflecting our ongoing commitment to international education and academic excellence.
